Find your edge

On the Business: Mastery Day – London – 2nd May, 2024

Equipping women with the skills to be rockstars in the boardroom
in partnership with FinTech Innovation Lab, Primary Venture Partners & Enterprise Tech London

A number of senior women from the tech world are working together to create an action-oriented approach to closing the diversity gap in tech leadership.

Just 6% of the companies recognised in the 2023 “Cloud 100” are led by women CEOs, and Work-Bench’s 2022 #Womenterprise Report revealed that female-founded enterprise software startups represent only 2.08% of all enterprise software startups. There is also an underrepresentation of women across most of the key executive functions, particularly in go-to-market, strategy/finance and product/engineering.

We want to help women to excel in senior leadership positions. This event will focus on “First Team” Leadership Principles, P&L fluency and business ratios.  This pragmatic and practical approach will allow women leaders to move from working “in the business” to working “on the business”.

Bringing together Senior Management and C-Suite women across all tech business functions, the day will include the following sessions:

·     SaaS P&L Walkthrough + Why It Matters for You;

·     “First Team” Mentality for Senior Leaders;

·     Financial Metrics for Sales & Marketing;

·     Financial Metrics for Product & Engineering;

·     Financial Metrics for CS;

·     Succeeding in the Boardroom; and

·     Inside Track on Fundraising.

The sessions are being delivered by a list of international tech leaders – Cassie Young, Nicole Fitzgerald, Michaela Lehr and more speakers to be confirmed.

The London event will capitalise on the tried and tested success of the inaugural event in New York in November 2023 – an event that had three no-shows, an NPS of 91 and multiple women telling us they “wished they had been offered this program ten years earlier.” Following the rave reviews of the inaugural event, a follow-up session was held in NYC in February with similar feedback and just one no-show! We are now ecstatic to host the next instalment in London.

Please consider joining us for this powerful day. Applications are due by Friday 12th April, and we’ll select 100 women for this event.

Attendees must be available to attend all segments of this dynamic, fast-paced afternoon, and will be invited to enjoy a networking reception with fellow attendees, speakers, and investors to cap off the day.

This event is an application only, in-person event at the FinTech Innovation Lab in London, and is free to attend.

About our partners

FinTech Innovation Lab:  The FinTech Innovation Lab London is an annual accelerator program run by Accenture and the market’s top financial institutions. The Lab accepts applications from the UK, Europe and elsewhere from early and growth stage companies that have developed cutting edge technology products targeted at financial services customers.

Through a competitive process, Fintech and Insurtech companies are selected to enter the Lab each year, where each receives:

• Mentoring from some of the industry’s leading firms and senior financial services executives
• Insider knowledge and direct feedback from relevant target user groups
• Strategy development and pitch coaching from senior Accenture executives
• Workshops and panel discussions on topics such as procurement, regulation and industry trends
• A central London workspace in the financial district for your leadership throughout the programme
• PR opportunities to raise your profile

Primary Venture Partners: Primary Venture Partners are investors who take a low-volume, high-conviction approach, committing unreasonable resources to create unfair advantages. The differentiator, unheard of in early stage VC, is Primary’s Impact team: Full-time, seasoned executives working alongside founders to supercharge growth and secure quality hires, early customers, and downstream investors.

With nearly $1 billion in assets under management, Primary Venture Partners spends $4.5 million annually on operational talent salaries, embeds with companies for 2,500 hours of high-intensity fractional leadership work, conducts 1,000 candidate interviews, maintains a pool of 1,000+ active job seekers, and hosts 250 events large and small for the NYC tech community.

Enterprise Tech London: Enterprise Tech London is where emerging tech companies, corporate organisations and investors go to connect and build global businesses.

Founded in 2012, Enterprise Tech London has established a fierce reputation at the heart of the U.K. capital’s tech ecosystem. Attracting senior executives, entrepreneurs and key investors who look to this unique network to share ideas, discuss trends and shape the future of enterprise technology.

A lot of corporate networks are focused on extracting value from their members through charging or selling. At Enterprise Tech London we are very focused on creating value for our entire membership base, through positive engagement and building a truly open and accessible community.
